Remember that new car feeling and that shining new duco ,youcouldn’t,wait to show it off to your family and friends.Well here is 7ways and guides to keep your paintwork healthy and gleaming.,
Remove insect splats ,bird and bat droppings ,tree sap as soon as possible .If left they will penetrate the wax and clear coats and into the colour coats underneath.
Hand wash is the best ,giving you a chance to inspect and familiarise yourself with your cars surface
Never use dishwashing liquids ,it cleans the car but strips away any protective wax coatings exposing your paint to the elements stains and small scratches.
Dry your cars surface with a chamois ,when water evaporates it leaves behind minerals and containments .
Clay baring your paintwork removes grim ,containments , leaving your paint smooth and is a good practice before polishing.Remember to maintain the clay for example if dropped on the ground it will pick up items that can damage your surface.
Protect with Wax
Your car had a new clear coat when it left the factory and after time the coat wears leaving the paint to defend for itself.Waxing is a excellent way to help.Wax is sacrificial and needs applying every few months and in doing so absorbs stains and small scratches. It provides a barrier before reaching your paint.
Parking ,try not to leave your vehicle in very hot and cold conditions ,strong sunlight ,surf air. Parking under trees for shade, first check for dropping sap bleeds ,birds, bats roosting which if left on painted surfaces causes damage.
