Carol’s Massage Therapy
Sore lower back: Lay on the floor with your buttock close to the lounge chair, then place your legs on the seat of the chair, this will open the pelvis a little and may give relief – it will not totally correct the problem.
Tight hands: By placing your thumb and pointer fingers over the muscle on other hand between thumb and pointer finger – starting at the sorest or tightest point, just holding not necessarily squeezing will relieve the hand in 5 minutes, after that move to the next tight spot on that muscle, it will be relaxing as well … great if you are in a traffic jam – no road rage 😀
Aching feet: After a soak in some Epsom salts for up to 20 mins. roll a ball or rolling pin or the like back and forward under your feet from heel to toes for at least 5mins per day.
This will prevent tight ligaments which will prevent – hammer toe, a bunion or even a heel spur. Do this sitting down either at the table or in front of the TV, whichever is comfortable
Best Advice: When in pain or injure yourself (when first aid is NOT needed) place your hand on the affected area and mentally send your breath there … it will cut your pain and time of grief in half. Do not hold your breath when in pain, it locks it in the tissues, breathe into it !
